The Chinese contestants in Portrait Now! have been selected in Beijing last week. The international jury of Portrait Now! travelled to Beijing to participate in the opening of “Portrait Now! Urban Life in Contemporary China” at the central business district-located Times Art Museum.
The jury also selected 40 works for participation in the Portrait Now! exhibition at the Museum of National History. Portrait Now! opens on May 7.
The Chinese branch of Portrait Now! is handled by the Museum of National History’s long time collaborator in Beijing, the Prince Gongs Palace Museum.
Besides participation in the Portrait Now! exhibition, the 40 Chinese portraits will be part of the competition for the best portraits and the prizes that will be awarded at the opening ceremony at Frederiksborg Castle. Go to Facebook for more pictures.
